Co-Founder and CTO

Dr. Loïc Roch is the Co-Founder and CTO of Atinary Technologies, leading a multi-disciplinary team in exploring the frontiers of machine learning and innovation to simplify and enhance experiment planning.

Prior to founding Atinary Technologies, Loïc studied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at EPFL. He earned his PhD in quantum chemistry from the University of Zurich and Tianjin University. He conducted his postdocs first at Harvard University and later at the renowned Vector Institute for artificial intelligence in Toronto.

With his expertise in AI, ML, quantum chemistry, and software design, he is a thought leader in AI for materials discovery. As a visionary entrepreneur, scientist and nature-lover, he is committed to using his skills and knowledge to contribute to a more sustainable planet and a circular economy. He is driven by a purpose to accelerate R&D and introduce self-driving labs globally for a better tomorrow. Dr. Roch’s vision and perseverance in advancing the field of AI for materials discovery reflects his firm belief in the power of science and technology to revolutionize our world.
